Crypto real estate agent certification

The certification for real estate agents who work with Bitcoin and crypto buyers.

A RealOpen Certified agent has been trained and tested on taking crypto-funded purchases from first call to closing.

RealOpen Certified Crypto Real Estate Professional is a free private designation for licensed real estate agents who have been trained and tested, through RealOpen's course and scenario exam, on taking crypto-funded purchases from first call to closing.

Course by Johnny Schiro, licensed real estate broker in Texas, New York and Florida. Curriculum version 2026.10-draft3, updated 2026-10-09.

RealOpen Certified is a private designation issued by RealOpen. It is not continuing education credit and is not issued or endorsed by any state licensing authority.

What the credential tells clients and other agents

A RealOpen Certified agent has been trained and tested, through 5 module checks and a 25-question scenario exam (20 correct to pass), on taking crypto-funded purchases from first call to closing and holds a real estate license that RealOpen verified at issue; it is renewed every year.

Trained and tested means qualifying buyers, reading proofs of funds, handling the other side, and getting deals funded: the work of taking crypto buyers from the first call to a cash closing, with the seller paid in dollars and the standard contract. A listing agent, a title officer or a lender who sees the credential knows the agent has done the course and passed the exam.

Other programs teach where blockchain is going. This one certifies what agents need to close crypto-funded deals now.

What you get to market with

  • A verified badge for your website and email signature. It links to your public profile and shows whether the credential is current.
  • A public directory profile in the RealOpen agent directory, with the credential on it, that buyers searching for crypto-capable agents in your state can find.
  • A certificate with your certificate ID, which anyone can check against your profile.
  • A LinkedIn credential you can add to your profile in one click, named and dated.
  • Eligibility for referrals when buyers come to RealOpen without an agent in your market. Referrals are occasional and depend on your market; certification makes you findable, it does not fill your pipeline.

How you earn it

  1. Enroll from your Pro Dashboard. The program costs nothing, is self-paced, and has no time limit.
  2. Pass the check for each of the first five classes. Every check is open before its lesson, and a missed check can be retaken right away with a fresh set of questions.
  3. Pass the 25-question scenario exam, 20 correct to pass, drawn from Modules 2 to 6.
  4. Enter your license, which RealOpen verifies, and accept the program terms. Your credential is issued with a certificate ID and shown on your directory profile. It is renewed every year.
