Verified for Proof of Funds

Ethereum Classic (ETC) Proof of Funds for Real Estate

Prove your ETC on-chain and make offers like a cash buyer.
  • RealOpen Proof of Funds: instant, verifiable, based on your actual on-chain ETC balance
  • Verify from the wallet you already use — MetaMask, Ledger, Trezor, Coinbase Wallet — with the same 0x address as Ethereum
  • ETC counts toward your verified total today. Direct ETC settlement is not yet available; closings are funded from an accepted settlement asset

Can You Buy a House with Ethereum Classic?

Your ETC works for the part of the deal that wins the house: the offer. RealOpen verifies the address on-chain and includes the balance in your Proof of Funds letter and RealScore Report, so the seller sees real, verifiable buying power instead of a screenshot.

RealOpen does not yet settle in ETC. When it is time to fund the closing, the transfer comes from one of the accepted settlement assets. Direct ETC settlement will be announced when it is live.

What RealOpen does with your ETC

Ethereum Classic is a public, account-based chain, so a 0x address and its balance are readable by anyone. That is what a title agent needs to see, and it is why ETC fits the RealOpen verification process without an exchange in the middle.

Key Points

  • verification and proof of funds run on your 0x address
  • the ETC balance is read on-chain and priced at live market value
  • the letter states which verified assets back the amount

How ETC Verification Works

Ethereum Classic follows the same RealOpen wallet workflow used for every EVM address. See the proof of funds guide for the full picture.

  1. Add your 0x address. A wallet already verified for Ethereum is scanned on Ethereum Classic automatically
  2. Prove control once: sign a message in your wallet, or send a small test transfer on the Ethereum Classic network
  3. Generate a Proof of Funds letter that includes your verified ETC and submit your offer

How to Prove Ethereum Classic Holdings

RealOpen step-by-step

1. Add the Address

Paste the 0x address that holds your ETC. RealOpen detects the EVM family and reads balances on Ethereum, Ethereum Classic and the other supported EVM networks in one scan.

  • Same address as your Ethereum wallet
  • Read-only: we never ask for keys or seed phrases
  • Native ETC only; tokens on ETC are not counted

2. Prove Control

Sign a short message in your wallet, or send a small test transfer on the Ethereum Classic network to the address we give you. Either proves the wallet is yours.

  • MetaMask, Ledger, Trezor, Coinbase Wallet and other EVM wallets
  • Smart-contract wallets verify through an on-chain signature check
  • Verified once, refreshed automatically

3. Proof of Funds

Generate a Proof of Funds letter backed by your verified holdings, ETC included, and present offers like a cash buyer.

  • Live market value at issuance
  • Letter states the verified assets behind the amount
  • Accepted by sellers, agents and title companies

4. Funding the Closing

When your offer is accepted, the closing is funded from one of RealOpen's accepted settlement assets. ETC settlement is not yet available; we will announce it when it is.
