How to find your wallet address in Phantom

How to find your address in Phantom — and pick the right Solana or EVM one — to submit for crypto wallet verification and a proof-of-funds letter.

Phantom is a multi-chain wallet — it holds addresses on Solana and on EVM chains (Ethereum, Polygon, Base) as well as Bitcoin. The address you copy depends on which network you're viewing, and they are not interchangeable.

Steps

  1. Open Phantom and unlock it.
  2. Tap Receive.
  3. Choose the network/asset you want to receive or verify. Phantom shows a different address for Solana than for Ethereum-family chains.
  4. Copy the address shown (and check the QR if scanning).
  5. Verify the first and last characters before using it.

Solana addresses are different from 0x addresses

  • A Solana address is a base58 string (no 0x prefix) — e.g. it looks like 7xKX...gAsU. An Ethereum-family address starts with 0x. Submit the one that matches where your funds actually are.
  • On Solana, each token (USDC, etc.) is held in its own associated token account derived from your main address. You share your main wallet address to receive them; the token accounts are created automatically. This is also why a brand-new Solana wallet can look empty for a token until its token account exists.

Important notes

  • Match the network end to end. Sending Solana USDC to an EVM address (or vice versa) is the most common way funds are lost.
  • Never share your recovery phrase. No verification asks for it.
