How to find your wallet address in Coinbase Wallet
How to find your address in Coinbase Wallet, the self-custody app (not the exchange), to submit for crypto wallet verification and a proof-of-funds letter.
This covers Coinbase Wallet, the self-custody app where you hold your own keys — not the Coinbase exchange account. Your address here is one you fully control, which is what matters for verification.
Steps
- Open Coinbase Wallet and unlock it.
- Tap Receive.
- Select the asset you want to receive or verify.
- The app shows the receiving address (and a QR code). Tap to copy it.
- Verify the first and last characters match before using it.
Important notes
- Coinbase Wallet vs. Coinbase exchange: they're different. Coinbase Wallet is self-custody (you hold the keys); the exchange holds assets on your behalf. For verification, use an address from a wallet you control.
- Addresses are asset- and network-specific. An EVM
0xaddress works across EVM chains, but the balance only shows on the chain the funds are actually on. - Never share your recovery phrase. No verification requires it.
